Almost a year ago we adopted this adorable ragmop, rescued from the Martinez CA kill shelter by Bay Area Poodle Rescue. She had a serious yeast infection, is deathly afraid of being picked up and is missing teeth. We have wondered for a long time what the heck breed she was and now believe she is a Coton. Except for the daily required grooming, which she loves, she is a very low maintenance companion, largely recovered from the yeast infection that had left large patches of bare skin. She does not play much but delights in her twice-daily walks. It is hard to believe such a loving animal could have been abandoned but thanks to BAPR she has found a home here in Oakland. I recommend the breed to anyone especially seniors who are seeking a canine companion.

I love your web site. I got my first Coton last February 2010 right after the blizzard here in Washington. I love searching the internet for anything connected with Cotons and I found your web site and absolutely love your photos and music. Noticed "Amarillo by Morning" was playing and it made my so homesick for Texas. :!cry:

My husband and I are moving to Costa Rica this summer and once we settle in we are looking to add to our family, we own a maltese, she is 7, and a havanese and she is 5. Do you think it would be wise to get a male this time with my two girls? Love the breed. Thanks debra
